    Military Background

    US Army

    U.S. Army

    Section Chief

    Jan 2002 – March 2008

I joined the Army right after high school graduation, which was also right after the terrorist attack on 9/11. During my enlistment, I participated in two combat deployments to Iraq. My role during the first deployment to Baghdad in 2004 was to provide security for the battalion commander while patrolling the issued zones assigned to our battalion. I returned to Iraq in 2006 and was in charge of a small team, where our main role was to provide artillery support downrange. I was selected to attend the E6 promotion board while on that deployment, and made the required cutoff level upon my return to the States in 2007. After serving 6 years on active duty, I received an Honorable discharge. While it was a difficult decision to make, I ultimately decided to to pursue a new career in the civilian world.
